DESSRD Directed Energy Safeguards Shielding and Structural Research Division
Mission Statement
“At DESSRD, we are committed to researching practical approaches to shielding against potential directed energy exposures while working toward a better understanding of the symptoms experienced by affected individuals.”
Our research explores different shielding materials, structural designs, and temporary protective spaces to evaluate their properties and potential applications. We aim to make this research accessible by documenting our methods, sharing our findings, and developing clear, open-source educational resources.
Alongside our materials research, we support efforts to investigate the reported symptoms through appropriate medical evaluation and testing. We believe that understanding what people are experiencing, exploring possible environmental factors, and examining potential protective measures are all important parts of the research process.
Our goal is to make reliable information more accessible, encourage evidence-based investigation, and help affected individuals make informed decisions while contributing to a better understanding of these unresolved health concerns.
- Materials and shielding research: Investigating materials, structural configurations, and temporary sleeping or living spaces, with their effectiveness evaluated against clearly defined conditions.
- Medical and environmental investigation: Supporting appropriate medical assessments and research into possible environmental exposures to help understand the reported symptoms.
⚠️ CRITICAL SAFETY NOTICE & LIABILITY DISCLAIMER
1. Experimental Nature: All projects, schematics, and material recommendations published by the Directed Energy Safeguards, Shielding & Structural Research Division (DESSRD) are intended for educational, research, and experimental DIY purposes only.
2. Personal Responsibility: Working with physical structures, shielding materials, tools, and potentially high-energy environments carries inherent risks of property damage, personal injury, or electrocution. By undertaking a DESSRD public project, you assume 100% of the risk associated with construction, testing, and deployment.
3. No Government/Regulatory Certification: DESSRD public-facing designs are open-source prototypes. They are not certified life-saving equipment, nor are they rated by official regulatory bodies (e.g., OSHA, FCC, DoD) unless explicitly stated. They should never replace certified commercial safety equipment in hazardous or life-threatening environments.
4. Local Laws & Compliance: You are strictly responsible for ensuring that your build complies with all local, state, and national laws, including radio frequency emission regulations and building codes.
Limitation of Liability: In no event shall the creators, contributors, or administrators of DESSRD be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or misuse of our open-source materials. Build and test at your own risk.
